Legendary Gear
Legendary gear is where you can start dabbling into End Game Content if done right. If you're looking to be Anton Raid Ready, this is a good place to look as obtaining a decent Legendary set is fairly easy, and inexpensive, even if its a bit of a grind; and Buy-able Legendaries, while expensive, are great offslots and some of the best gear you can buy.
It's honestly difficult to categorize legendaries into only 2 or 3 categories, but I'm gonna go with Tradable Legendaries, Quest Legendaries and Area Legendaries. There will be some overlapping qualities to them, but please bear with me ;_;

Tradable Legendaries
Tradable Legendaries are generally the best gear gold can buy, but this can lead to them being expensive. They have some pretty unique effects on them that can range from useless, to invaluable to just...odd.
Ancient Legendaries are Legendaries that can be found or crafted and sold in the Ancient Gate. These Legendaries tend to have a theme in alliance to whatever dungeon they'd drop in (for example, Kill Joe's Heart being named after the Champion, Kill Joe). These Legendaries tend to be expensive and hard to find, but are very good if you have some gold to spend and need to fill some equip slots. Most of the time, your best bet is to buy the legendary unless Gabriel sells you the recipe. It is also pretty expensive to craft Legendaries because the items required are numerous and expensive, also the drop rate being so excruciatingly low makes farming for it is pretty impractical.
Raid Legendaries are equips that you can flip from the rewards card of Phase 1 of Anton Raid or Phase 2 of Luke Raid. Similarly to Ancient Legendaries, they're very useful for off slots but can lean to the expensive side of things depending on how good the effects are. Many legendary swap weapons are obtained from here.
Quest Legendaries
Quest legendaries are... pretty self explanatory to be quite honest. These are Legendaries you obtain through running Time Gate, and are highlighted by their set effects. These mirror Chronicle equips a bit in terms of where you go to obtain them, and are not dropped in dungeon, rather by doing a daily challenge every day to obtain the materials to buy them. You must be level 85 or higher to enter these dungeons.
Looks familiar, right? Ancient dungeons also run off of the difficulty system, except that with these you can actually choose which dungeons you run. Each of the 7 Ancient Dungeons drop different materials that allow you to buy different Ancient Sets. It takes 2 runs to complete the daily, and about 10 runs to max out the materials you can obtain from the boss of said dungeon.
You probably noticed, but each run of Ancient Dungeons costs 10 Endless Eternity and 120 Clear Cube Fragments... which can be a steep price after the 10 runs needed to max out your material drops, especially after your quest finishes after only 2 runs... but listen: after ~10 runs in a party you get whats called a Lion.
A Lion is a special gold flip card where you'll either get a Ancient Material Pot with quest materials or a Random Quest Legendary pot which will grant you a random Quest Legendary of any armor type or any set. You will be able to see your progress to a lion using the golden, circular meter on the top right.

Farming for these sets can take quite a while-- 600 mats per equip, 6 equips needed and about 140 mats per day if you do all 10 runs-- it's still a great bang for your buck in your trek to progress your gear smoothly.
So now knowing the basics on how to obtain the sets lets take a quick look over a legendary set. I'll be talkin about Gracia Family's Symbol set and Western Romanticist sets.
So, As stated earlier, Legendary sets work in sets. You can equip 3, 5, or 6 pieces to trigger set effects. Aside the raw stats on the equips, something that makes legendary sets truly superior to something like Halidoms is just how much better the set effects are.
Looking at the two sets to the right, You'll firstly notice how different each of them are-- which is good! This will lead to some good options upon deciding to gear your characters. Secondly, unlike the Halidoms and Chrons, you'll notice getting the full set effects is much more than worth it. If you are trying to become Anton Raid Ready, these sets are one of the first places you can start. While they aren't end game damage or anything, they are one of your best options if you only have pinks, chrons and a very small number of epics. |
Area Legendaries
Area Legendaries are Legendaries that I define as NPC buyable Legendaries based around specific areas on the map. A very uh...vague... description but like I said.. please bear with me!
Guild Accessories are Legendaries specific to the Guild Dungeons. Only accessories are available, and there are 2 sets. A fire set, Blazing Anger Set, and an ice set, Frozen Sorrow Set. The chances of these accessories dropping in dungeon is pretty rare, but it costs only 400 guild certificates per peice, and they can all be purchased from Court Supplier Ande.
These sets are pretty easy to get if you have an active guild, and though not the best, can be useful.
Gigantic Presence is a Legendary accessory set that you can obtain by running Anton Normals. The Anton Dailies will give you 10 Antoniums per day and each accessory costs a steep 1,050 Antonium per piece making this quite a bit of a grind-- however this is a pretty decent set if you have no better options, and don't mind the grind. These do not drop in Anton, or Anton Raid.
Pandemonium Accessories are sort of like a budget Gigantic Presence set. They don't have the set effects but the individual pieces are similar in effects. Each of these is about a 4 day grind in Bloody Lane so it's a really good alternative if you don't plan on using Gigantic Presence for it's set effects. These are exceptional offslots for Quest Legendary Set wearing characters who haven't yet found good epic offslots.
